This series is built around five original drawings, each one reproduced by hand, using ink and pencil on the pages of a vintage bookkeeping notebook I found in New York. Some pages are yellowed and gridded, others blue-grey, each marked with a small stamped number. The paper itself carries traces of time, and is finite: once the pages run out, the series will come to an end.
When you purchase a drawing, you receive a unique, hand-drawn version — made from the same motif, but with slight variations, and a different numbered page. Each piece is singular, echoing the way tattooing must be applied by hand each time, giving the same motif a different presence.
